IN-PERSON EVENT: The Art of Tarot, Babel Polyphony: On Tarot, language and forgotten iconography at ArtYard

In this lecture, Laetitia Barbier explores tarot as a dynamic visual language, evolving through art history, pop culture, and personal interpretation. Using The Castle of Crossed Destinies and the Hanged Man as focal points, we’ll trace tarot’s shifting meanings—from Renaissance Italy to Hannibal Lecter and Hello Kitty—revealing how these images help us shape and reclaim our own narratives.

This in-person lecture takes place in ArtYard’s McDonnell Theater. Register here.
